Consists chiefly of correspondence of the Walker family of Knox County, Tennessee, most of it from the Civil War period. Includes letters from Richard E. Walker to his wife, Caroline, from camps in Tennessee and Georgia. There are also letters between Richard Walker and his brothers, George and Thomas, and sister, Sarah. Richard Walker served in the 6th Tennessee Infantry, USA. Also included are two pages of family history notes and a clipping concerning Caroline Walker's death.
